Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • ½ cup sugar syrup
  • 6 green cardamom
  • ½ milk
  • 1 ghee/oil

Instructions
 

  • Pour some bread crumbs and cardamom into a bowl and set aside.
  • Boil the milk in a pan on medium heat. After it boils, pour it into the bowl with bread crumbs and cardamom and mix well to form a soft dough.
  • Take small portions of the dough and form them into round balls.
  • Put a pan on fire and pour some oil/ghee into it. Leave it on medium heat.
  • When the oil heats up, gently drop the dough balls into it and fry them until you attain a golden brown colour.
  • When it is done frying, remove them and place them into a bowl with sugar syrup in it. Let the balls remain in it for about 30 minutes and serve.

Notes

Bread gulab jamun is usually enjoyed at festivals and other occasions like birthdays. There is a World Gulab Jamun Day which falls on 10th October.
