Tilapia soup is a soup that is usually enjoyed when hot and spicy. It ismostly paired with fufu for lunch, but can be taken with a few other foods aswell.
Wash tilapia and remove fins and scales and cut into smaller pieces asdesired.
Steam the tilapia and spice it with ginger, garlic, ½ onion, salt and cayenne pepper. Add alittle water and let it steam for about ten minutes.
Get another saucepan and put in your ½ chopped onion,tomatoes, garden egg, tomato paste and scotch bonnet pepper. Add a little saltand a little water and put on fire for about ten minutes.
Blend the tomatoes, garden egg and pepper and sieveinto the saucepan on fire. Add some more water and let it be on fire for awhile.
Now add your steamed tilapia and its broth or stock to the soup and letit simmer for some more time.
