Heat the clarified butter or vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the thinly sliced beef to the hot skillet and stir-fry for a few minutes until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for another minute, stirring continuously.
In a small bowl, combine the berbere spice blend, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, and cinnamon. Mix well to create a spice mixture.
Sprinkle the spice mixture over the onions, garlic, and ginger in the skillet. Stir to coat the ingredients evenly.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss it with the spiced onion mixture. Cook for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Season with salt, black pepper, and freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
Continue stir-frying the beef and spices for a few more minutes until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Once the beef is cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro or parsley.
