Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme leaves, salt, black pepper, and vegetable oil.
Mix well. Add the goat meat to the marinade and mix well, making sure that each piece is coated evenly. Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Once the goat meat has marinated, remove it from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread the goat meat on it in a single layer
Roast the goat meat in the oven for 45-60 minutes, or until it is browned and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Alternatively, grill the goat meat until it is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside.
Remove the goat meat from the oven or grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
