Ingredients
  

  • goat meat
  • onion
  • Garlic
  • ginger
  • paprika
  • cayenne pepper
  • thyme
  • salt and black pepper
  • habanero
  • vegetable oil
  • green onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme leaves, salt, black pepper, and vegetable oil.
  • Mix well. Add the goat meat to the marinade and mix well, making sure that each piece is coated evenly. Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Once the goat meat has marinated, remove it from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread the goat meat on it in a single layer
  • Roast the goat meat in the oven for 45-60 minutes, or until it is browned and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Alternatively, grill the goat meat until it is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside.
  • Remove the goat meat from the oven or grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
  • .Garnish with chopped habanero pepper and green onions, if desired.
  • Serve hot with a side of plantains or rice. Enjoy!

Be sure to use a fresh and good quality goat meat for the best taste.
Adjust the amount of pepper used to your preferred level of spiciness.
To achieve the smoky flavor, it is best to roast the meat over an open fire or grill. However, it can also be roasted in an oven if an open fire or grill is not available.
The dish can be served with a side of sliced onions and fresh tomatoes to balance the spiciness.
Leftover asun can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
