CASSAVA FLAKES RECIPE
Cassava flakes, also known as gari is a common food made by processingcassava into small pieces or flakes.

Peel the cassava tubers and wash them.
Using a large grater, grate the cassava into fine pieces into a bowl.
Pour the grated cassava into a porous bag and put in a press machine forup to 3 hours. (This is to drain excess water from it).
When it dries, sieve it into another bowl.
Get a large pot and put on fire.
Pour the grated cassava into the pot and stir as you fry for some time.
Remove from fire when it is well fried.
Let it cool down and store in a container.
