Vegetable Spring Rolls Recipe
Vegetable spring roll is a popular Chinese snack and it is yummy and very delicious. It’s crunchy from outside and spiced vegetable fillings on the inside.
You can use store bought wrappers for recipe or check out how to make Homemade Spring Roll Wrappers. You can serve this Vegetable Spring Rolls with red chill sauce or ketchup
- You can choose any vegetables of choice
Ingredients for this recipe
Spring roll wrappers( quantity of choice)
Pasta or Noodles(if preferred)
Green bell pepper
French beans(if preferred)
All purpose flour
Mix all purpose flour and salt with water in a bowl to make paste then set aside(Make sure it has a thick consistency with no lumps)
Cook pasta or noodles(if preferred). Drain it and rinse with water and set aside(Make sure it is well cooked)
Wash and cut carrots, cabbage, spring onions, green bell pepper and French beans(if preferred) into pieces
Under medium heat, heat 2 or 3 teaspoons of oil in a pan and add veggies. Add powdered pepper and seasoning cubes. Stir for about 5-10mins until tender.
Add cooked pasta or noodles to cooked veggies and stir for about 2mins. Remove the filling from fire and set aside( Make sure the filling is dry)
Take a wrapper and apply the set aside Flour paste on all edges
Take 1 or 2 teaspoons of the cooked veggies( depending on size of wrapper) and place it on the inside of the wrapper.
Gently but tightly roll till the end. Seal the sides to the roll( using flour paste) then place the vegetable spring roll with the sealed edges facing down on a plate. (Do the same procedure for the number of rolls you will make)
Heat oil until hot and add your spring rolls. Deep fry both sides until all sides is light golden.
Remove your crisp veg spring roll from oil and drain in a sieve or tissue paper. Enjoy!!!
