Maple Mustard Roasted Chicken Recipe

1 pound chicken thighs
1/2cup softened butter
1/4 cup fresh finely minced thyme and rosemary
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon finely ground mustard powder
3 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 large onions, cut into ½-inch rounds
Sprigs of fresh rosemary(garnish)
Steps in making Maple Mustard Roasted Chicken Recipe
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Mix together butter, mustard powder, fresh herbs, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Add the maple syrup a little at a time, stirring well to combine
Season chicken thighs marple mixture. Allow it to sit for and hour
Line the bottom of a roasting pan 2- to 3-inch deep sides with onion slices.
Place chicken in the roasting pan. Grease thighs with melted butter
Place in oven, uncovered, and roast for 20 minutes. Brush it with marinade then lower the heat to 400 degrees and continue roasting and brushing for another 30 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Remove the chicken from the roasting pan and place on a serving platter.
