6 ounces softened cream cheese
6 tablespoons softened butter
3 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest, plus 1 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Steps in making Lemon-lime cream cheese frosting
Beat cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy for about 2 minutes.
Add sugar slowly, beating on low speed until combined for about 1 minute.
Add lime juice, lemon zest, and lemon juice, beating until combined, about 30 seconds.
