How to prepare Pizza Sauce

Tomato / Pizza Sauce Recipe

Tomato or pizza sauce can refer to a large number of different sauces made primarily from tomatoes and they are best known as sauces for pasta, rice dishes and other meals.

It’s not difficult to make and can be stored in a jar for sometime. Try it


Ingredients for tomato sauce

Two 28-ounce cans plum/fresh  tomatoes and their juices, pureed in a blender

One 16-ounce can crushed tomatoes(optional)

1 small can tomato paste

2 tablespoons vegetable/olive oil

1 large onion, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic

1 bay leaf

1 small bunch Italian parsley

1 chile pepper, chopped

Salt and freshly ground pepper


Steps for preparing pizza sauce

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Chopped onions and add to oil

Grind or smashed garlic with salt to make a paste. Add mixture to oil. Then cook until soft.

Blend fresh tomatoes and add to oil. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 cup water, bay leaf, parsley, pepper, and allow it to a boil for 10-20mins

Season with salt to taste.

Reduce heat and cook until slightly thickened.

Remove from fire and serve. Enjoy!!
