Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for kneading

Preparation Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the rice flour with a little water to form a smooth paste.
  3. Add the rice flour paste to the boiling water and stir continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
  5. Cover the pot and let the mixture cook for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. After 30-40 minutes, the Tuwo Shinkafa should be thick and smooth. Remove it from the heat.
  7. Allow the Tuwo Shinkafa to cool slightly, then wet your hands with water and knead the mixture until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  8. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a smooth ball.
  9. Serve the Tuwo Shinkafa with your favorite soup or stew.
