  • white bread
  • vegetable oil

  • chocolate syrup or honey
  • fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the scoops of ice cream on it. Freeze for at least 1 hour until firm.Take 2 slices of bread and trim off the crusts. Use a rolling pin to flatten the bread slices.
  • Take one flattened bread slice and place a frozen scoop of ice cream in the center. Carefully wrap the bread around the ice cream, sealing the edges by pressing gently. Repeat with the remaining ice cream scoops and bread slices.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep pot to approximately 350°F (175°C).While the oil is heating, place the crushed cornflakes in a shallow bowl.
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully lower each wrapped ice cream ball into the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs. Fry for about 30-60 seconds until the bread turns golden brown and crispy. Fry one or two at a time to avoid overcrowding the pot
  • Remove the fried ice cream from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.Optional: Drizzle the fried ice cream with honey or chocolate syrup for added sweetness and flavor.
