  • Honey

 

What Plantain Chips Can Be Served With

Plantain chips can be served with a soft drink, fruit juice, groundnuts.

 

Special Utensils Needed

  1.  Slicer/Knife
  2.  Slotted spoon
  3.  Basting/pastry brush

 

Preparation steps

  1.  Peel and thinly slice plantain chips and put them into a bowl.
  2. Heat up some oil in a skillet to about 350-375 degree celcius.
  3. Put the plantain chips one by one into the heated oil.
  4. Turn over the plantain chips continuously as you fry them.
  5. When they brown, remove from the oil onto a plate lined with paper towel and blot excess oil with another paper towel. Season with some salt.
  6. Let it cool down totally before you serve so that they can be crispy.
  7. Brush over the plantain chips with some honey. Enjoy!

  • Turn over the plantain chips continuously as you fry them.
